Bat Cave* is located near the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure resort area of Western North Carolina and only minutes from historic Hendersonville and picturesque Asheville. Dowling Cabin rentals are conveniently located and easily accessible via state maintained, paved roads.

* We are frequently asked if there really is a Bat Cave ....Yes, there is! The Bat Cave is located in Blue Rock Mountain along the Rocky Broad River. It is the largest known granite fissure cave in North America and home of the critically endangered "Indiana Bat" as well as other invertebrates (but not Batman and Robin!)
